So your telling me there’s a chance? Yea. In fact, Eddie Alvarez sat cage side with Dana White to watch Nate Diaz choke out Jim Miller in fewer than two rounds in the main event of UFC on Fox 3 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. We have seen this happen before, the courting of high level prospects, but does this mean that Alvarez is really coming to the Ultimate Fighting Championships to grace the Octagon with his lightweight presence?

Okay, we didn’t say it fist but Tito Ortiz did. When we caught up with him at the Magic convention in Las Vegas earlier this year he delivered this pretty amazing intro telling us, and all of you, that the “Badboy is coming back.” The fight confirmation was delivered through a tweet by Ortiz saying, “July 7th Vegas MGM #ufc148 its on!!!!”
I remember watching the first Alvarez vs Aoki the first time around and Alvaerz looked really tentative with his striking. Aoki didn’t want to then and won’t want to have anything to do with Alvarez’s striking in fight either.
Alvarez actually scored the takedown in his fight with Aoki but was caught in an anklelock when trying to scramble.
